This wall (or tabletop) sculpture is made from white stoneware clay with a volcanic glaze. The front surface is notched to experiment with texture and the puffy, rough (not sharp) effect of the glaze. Inspired by the organic shapes of zen gardens (also called ikebana vases) I made by the dozens while living in Maryland, this sculpture was one of the first I made in Colorado.
Two holes are on the back for hanging (wall anchors included) or it stands nicely on its own.
Measures approximately 12.25 x 6 x 3.25", weighs 5 pounds, 9 ounces
All my pieces are handmade. They are often asymmetrical and organically shaped. Each is different, making your piece original.
