Tilted Figure is a sculptural, figurative form. Its body is angular yet fluid, with one side tapering down into a sharper edge and the other curving more broadly, giving it an off-balance presence. The neck rises from the center but is slightly tilted, with an angled opening. The surface is an earthy black-brown matte with subtle texture showing the natural character of the clay. Tilted Figure was coil-built with black stoneware clay. The exterior is unglazed, and the interior is glazed clear. Watertight.
